terms
These terms describe who may use Sol, what Sol is and is not, how AI-generated content should be treated, and the core limits that apply to the service.
These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and NextGenEdu, Inc. governing your access to and use of the Sol application, the Sol AI companion, our marketing website, and related services. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Sol is a self-discovery and reflection tool. Through guided, Socratic conversation, Sol helps you explore questions of identity, direction, and decision confidence, and it generates personal-development indicators we call Conviction, including Clarity, Alignment, and Resilience.
Sol is an artificial-intelligence companion, not a human being and not a licensed professional. Sol does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, counseling, career, legal, or financial advice, and your use of it does not create any professional relationship.
AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Conviction indicators are reflective signals generated by software, not validated clinical or diagnostic results.
You are responsible for evaluating outputs before relying on them, and you should apply your own judgment and consult a qualified professional or trusted person before making important decisions.
You retain ownership of the reflections, responses, and other content you provide. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Because Sol involves reflection on identity and personal experience, your content may include sensitive personal information. We handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws.
We do not use your content to train third-party or publicly available AI models.
You may delete your reflections, conversations, or account through settings or by contacting heysol@heysol.app.
The Service, including the Sol companion, design, motion system, software, content, and the NextGenEdu and Sol names and logos, is owned by NextGenEdu or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
The Service may offer a free tier and optional paid subscriptions. Current pricing is shown at sign-up. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the stated period until you cancel, where applicable.
You may cancel through account settings or by contacting heysol@heysol.app. Refunds are governed by the refund policy disclosed at purchase and applicable law.
We are committed to making the Service usable by as many people as possible. If you have trouble accessing any part of the Service, contact heysol@heysol.app and we will work with you to provide the information or functionality you need.
Except where prohibited by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any outcome such as greater clarity, a career result, or a particular Conviction score will be achieved.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NextGenEdu and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decision you make in reliance on the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify NextGenEdu against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or to protect users or the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through settings or by contacting us.
Before bringing a formal claim, you agree to first contact us at heysol@heysol.app so we can try to resolve the matter informally. These Terms are governed by applicable law, and any dispute will be handled in the courts and forums available under that law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, for example by posting in the app or emailing the account holder.

disclaimer notice
Sol is designed to help you think, reflect, and explore who you are. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, mental-health, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, counseling, career, legal, or financial advice.
Using Sol does not create a therapist, counselor, doctor, or other professional relationship with anyone.
Conviction, Clarity, Alignment, and Resilience indicators are reflective signals generated by software for personal growth. They are not validated psychological tests or diagnostic tools and should never be used to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about your health, education, employment, or legal situation.
Sol uses artificial intelligence, which can produce answers that are inaccurate or that do not fit your situation. Use your own judgment, and talk with a qualified professional and a trusted adult before acting on anything Sol suggests.
Sol is meant to support reflection, not replace the people in your life. For important or difficult decisions, involve a trusted person or qualified professional.
